Pulmonary Embolism More Condition_symptoms Is It Possible To Get A Pulmonary Embolism While On Warfarin If You've Already Had One?

Is it possible to get a Pulmonary Embolism while on Warfarin if you've already had one? - pulmonary embolism more condition_symptoms

I sufford a pulmonary embolism, while the hospital is located approximately 3 months. Now I'm on warfarin for 6 months, but I wonder, it is possible to obtain another pulmonary embolism while on them. Whenever I have shortness of breath or pain in my leg, I panic! Only sensible answers please! In addition to warfarin, I will at a greater risk with one, even though I am active?

It is possible but not probable. If you are on warfarin blood tests must be called (PT prothrombin time) and PTT (prothrombin time) that your doctor will be allowed if you are coagulated in the blood, is enough. Thus, the doctor may adjust your dose if needed. He had a blood clot in the leg he broke and entered into my lungs and my MD I am in these tests per week for 10 years. I felt the same way for many years, but if you have these tests that you feel should be less panic.

In addition, a new injectable drug Lovenox is now demanding immediate action.

If you do not have these tests, it should be.

Maybe. The reason to go is obviously the probability Warfrin blood thinners to reduce a stroke. I can imagine that having the beginning of consumption, take a series of blood tests and adjusting the height of the Warfrin.
This is to get his blood at the highest level of stroke should not happen.
Unfortunately, the answer is yes, it is more likely to get one for someone who never had one. They are also more likely, if someone in your family you have had.
But the positives. You know how it feels to one, and if it happens again, you can not visit a doctor. Remember, just because you are very likely not a standard that is by all means to get it too.

Hello Scott,

This only happens if you might happen in too low a dose of warfarin, do not check for you than regular blood, clotting time and the dose should be adjusted accordingly.

However, saying that if you should have the shortness of breath or pain in question may be an doctor. It seen to be completely independent and will consider safer.
